News & Press Releases:

A new, redesigned Information Technology Management (ITM) degree replaces the former CIS and NTCOMM degrees this semester (Fall, 2007). See your advisor for help with completing your current degree plan, or switching to the new major upon approval.

ComputerWorld reports hot skills for 2006 include developers (Java, .Net), security and project management. Budgets are expected to increase and drive demand. Good news, outsourcing over the past year+ has impacted less than 5% of IT jobs.

To be marketable, keep your GPA up and take value-added courses like internships to develop important hands-on skills. Also consider working in a certification or two to strengthen your resume. See link at left.

: If you are still finishing your NTCOMM degree and have not yet seen an advisor regarding our major redesign, please do so, or review the materials on the department web under Majors. You should find equivalent courses with ITM prefixes to complete your NTCOMM degree plan.
